How To Buy And Sell Shares Through Sterling Capital

Sterling Capital Limited (Sterling) was incorporated as a limited liability company in 1981 to provide investment and financial advisory services. As part of such services, it buys and sells shares and bonds listed in the Nairobi Stock Exchange ( NSE ) on behalf of clients.

1. REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCOUNT OPENING

Individual & Joint Account Requirements:

• 2 recent passport-size photos
• 1 copy of ID or passport
• 1 copy of KRA pin certificate
• Completed and signed account opening (CDS1) and Client Mandate Form.

Corporate or Group Account Requirements:

• 2 recent passport-size photos for each signatory
• 1 copy of ID or passport for each signatory
• 1 copy of KRA pin for each signatory
• 1 copy of certificate of incorporation/registration certificate
• 1 copy of KRA pin for the company
• Board’s resolution to open account with Sterling Capital Limited
• Articles & Memorandum of Association
• Completed and signed account opening form(CDS1) and Client Indemnity Form
• A company seal or stamp to be appended on the (CDS1) and Client Indemnity Form

3. ONLINE TRADING REGISTRATION

Navigate to the online trading portal

Click on ‘Register Now!’

You will be redirected to the User Registration page whereby you will be required to input CDS code, National ID/Passport ID or Incorporation No and email address.

Click ‘Submit’

4. FEES

Commission is charged on all transactions both (buy & sell). For transactions:

• Below Ksh 100,000, fee is 2.1%
• Ksh 100,000 and above, fee charged is 1.8%
